When we first set foot in Guatemala, it wasn’t just the breathtaking landscapes that captivated us. It was the soul of the country — the warm, communal spirit of its people, the layered history, and the craftsmanship that would eventually become Antigua Threads. We came as travelers. We left with a mission.

A country full of character and history
Guatemala is a place where history comes alive on every corner. Antigua, one of our favorite cities, is all colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, and brightly colored facades — a place that feels less like a museum and more like a city still living inside its own past. That authenticity is exactly what inspired us to build a brand that honors tradition while making things for the modern world.
A landscape of wonder
Guatemala’s landscape is as diverse as its culture. Volcanoes shape the Antigua skyline — Volcán de Agua, Pacaya, and the famous climb up Acatenango to watch Volcán de Fuego erupt against the night sky. There’s Lake Atitlán, ringed by highlands and widely called one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. And deep in the northern jungle, the Maya ruins of Tikal rise straight out of the canopy. This is the country that fuels everything we make.
